“We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?” – Marianne Williamson
Lida is such an awesome friend. We have only been friends for about 18 months and we met through photography.
In the past few months she has been a rock and a shoulder to cry on in business and personal stuff like raising kids and trying to juggle that responsibility while also wanting to give your clients everything they deserve.
Up to 3 years ago I lived close to my mom and sister for all of my life. Moving to Johannesburg from Pretoria was tough even though its not that far because suddenly I had no support network that I could reach out to when I suddenly had a crisis with the kids. It was wonderful to find a friend that was a mom at the same school and on top of that also a photographer.
When I told Lida I wanted to do a glamour shoot with her, she giggled. Like many women I know she hardly ever affords herself the luxury of just being glamorous and having that beauty captured. But we all deserve to look fabulous and have images to look at to remind us of that. An investment in something like this every few years is so worth it, don’t you think?
Thank you Lida, for always inspiring me and giving me permission to be talented. Thank you for being my biggest fan but also challenging me to be better at what I do. You are gorgeous, fabulous and equally talented. These photos pay tribute to your brilliance as a friend and photographer, a mother and above all, a gorgeous woman inside and out!
